This plate is okay, a little smaller than I expected. It also stains easily when I put tomato sauce on it and it doesn't wash off.

PROS:
*The low profile and concave lip make it easier to scoop out food without spilling.
*The color and design are attractive and clean-looking.
CONS:
*The plate is weighted but not enough to prevent tipping or getting flipped across the room. Because it is weighted, it can't be microwaved which is often inconvenient. I like to keep leftovers in the plate but then I have to transfer it to another bowl to reheat. I would prefer a non-weighted version that could be microwaved.

Eventhough the dimensions are stated in the product description section I was surprised to see the plate to be so wide, 6 inches in diameter, compared to other kid plates out there. The ring definitely helps the kid scoop food but there is so much room to maneuver the spoon around that the spoon sometimes does not need to reach the edge before it is filled with food/soup. My toddler is almost 2 and has been self feeding for 6 months and when using small bowls and plates food always kept spilling to the sides. Also a thumbs up to the easy to open packaging. Oxo design on this plate is a winner!
