I never write reviews on items, but I had to write one about these zipper sheets. they are, hands down, the best thing that I have encountered as far as baby gear goes...if you don't buy anything else for yourself or an expectant mom, buy these! They had to be invented by a mom who was going crazy taking a normal fitted sheet off a crib mattress, which involves removing a bumper, pulling the entire mattress out of the crib, then re-assembling the whole thing...not fun at 2AM with a crying baby! When I found these, I immediately ordered them for myself...and have been ordering them for every girlfriend who is having a baby ever since! They are worth every penny. Order the sheet set, then one extra top sheet--best price I've found on these is on Amazon. We have never used any other sheets!!

The QuickZip Sheet Set is a great idea--easy to use, and great quality. However, the set only comes with one base and one top sheet, so you have to buy a separate spare top sheet for those "middle-the-night" bedding changes that this product is supposed to ease. That adds up to a lot of money. Plus, these aren't waterproof, so you have to buy their mattress pad (which did poorly in other customer reviews) or another brand of waterproof pad. Again, more money. I found a product called ZipSheets at [...] and they are better in every way. They were on sale for $49 and included the base and TWO top sheets (called piddle pads), which are WATERPROOF with a hospital grade barrier fabric! No need for a separate mattress pad or a spare sheet bought separately. The piddle pads are also quilted, which is a nice touch. Their webiste does a side-by-side 7-point comparison to four similar products, and the ZipSheets are clearly superior. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't sell ZipSheets, but should. You can still add them with the Universal Wish List. Plus, they offer the same product for twin-size beds, which I shared with a coworker who is caring for a sick elderly parent who is incontinent. One last thing, QuickZip doesn't offer flannel top sheets, which are a must in winter, in my opinion. I contacted the company and they said that they don't offer it because the flannel doesn't keep its shape. Well, I ended up sewing a piece of prewashed flannel onto one of the top sheets and it worked just fine. I'll probably do the same with the ZipSheets. Good luck!

I had registered for these sheets (thought they were a brilliant idea) but unfortunately did not receive these as a shower gift. Since I was trying to go overboard with buying baby stuff, I ended up buying two regular crib sheets (two different brands)...which turned out to be a complete waste of money!
One of the regular sheets was a little loose and the other was so snug it was nearly impossible to put it on without damaging the mattress. With both of those sheets, I had to take the mattress completely out of the crib to change the sheets. Not fun at 3 am with an irate baby waiting to go back to bed. After doing that just a few times, I threw those two sheets out, hopped onto Amazon and purchased the Quick Zip Sheet set...which is what I should have just done in the first place.
I LOVE THESE SHEETS!!! I purchased one full set and one extra sheet, which is plenty (unless your kid is prone to exploding diapers, in which case you may want an additional sheet). The color is a nice, crisp light blue/white gingham. The set fits my Colgate Eco Classica mattress nicely. It is not painted-on skintight, but it is not loose enough to cause any concern. It is also comforting that the set wraps all the way around the mattress, so there's no way for my son to pull the sheet off.
The best part, though, is how easy it is to change the sheets. This was such a blessing when my son went through a week-long exploding diaper phase. It seemed like every time I pulled him out of the crib, I needed to change the sheets. With these, it was simply zip off...zip on and violà! It was soooo quick, simple and easy. The zippers are fast and smooth, even after many washings. The time and hassle saved is priceless. I cannot imagine having to go back to regular sheets.
Yes, they may seem a bit pricey at first glance...but once you consider that two decent quality regular crib sheets will run you at least $40, it is worth investing the few extra dollars for these sheets. The convenience is worth every penny!!!
